Eastern North Carolina BBQ Sauce 

This is the sauce we use when smoking whole hog. This recipe comes from by buddy Sam Jones' Cookbook "Whole Hog BBQ."

Ingredients:
3 quarts Apple Cider Vinegar
2 1/4 C Sugar
1/2 C Crushed Red Pepper
1/2 Cup Ground Black Pepper
1/4 C Chili Powder
1 1/2 C Texas Pete Hot Sauce
2 C Sweet BBQ Sauce (your fav)

Directions:
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Store in a tight container, refrigerated.
